Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say 3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Our dioramas by Polly and Grace

We are learning how to make a diorama.  We are making them about the Wigram area in the past and how the early Maori lived.

I have put in some cotton wool for the clouds and drawn a tree with some apples in my diorama.  My diorama is about the rivers and river life. I put in a Pukeko in the grass and an Eel in the river.
By Polly.

I have put in some trees using paper and sticks in my diorama with apples.  My diorama is the forest and the birds. I have added a Ruru and a Kereru to my diorama.

By Grace.

Half way through Term 2 already!

The children in Kereru are getting very excited about dioramas they will be making soon as part of our Inquiry about the Wigram area and how it has changed. They have chosen a topic to make their scene about and made a plan of what their diorama will look like and what they need to make it.

When they are all finished we will make a time for parents and families to come along and have a look at our wonderful work.

We have an addition to Kereru - his name is Monty and he is a very cuddly teddy bear with a cute little red heart. Each night  a child who has shown our HEART values and been a self manager over the whole day takes Monty home with them for the night. So far, Monty has been home with
17 of the 43 children in our learning space.

If Monty comes home with you, please take a photo and email it to
the Kereru teachers:
